At Community Creative Center, our mission is to awaken the extraordinary power of art to engage individuals and the community through accessible arts education. Community is at the heart of our mission. We are happy to provide access to our ceramic studio space for students who a have experience in working with clay and do not need the direct instruction as found in our session classes.
The Open Studio Membership program mission is to provide a space for artisans to develop their practice in a self-disciplined manner as a continuation beyond community classes.
Included in Membership
- Up to 56 hours per week of studio access
- Regular kiln firing schedule
- Studio orientation, support and communication from CCC Studio Technician and staff
- Storage space (based on membership plan)
- Access to wheels, tools, studio glazes,
and free demonstrations
Open Studio Membership will be extended upon a review of a brief application of your experience and images of you work! We ask that you have participated in at least three community classes sessions(or recommendation of the instructor) or have had similar experience elsewhere as well as a three-month commitment to join the studio as demand is high and space is limited. Clay is available for a donation to the Creative Center or members may bring clay and glazes purchased elsewhere pending approval from the studio technicians. If interested, please submit your name and email and we will reach out to you with a brief application process.
Once received, we will notify you via email our time line for the review process. If approved we will have a short orientation to review the Open Studio Policies, a brief studio tour, select locker spaces, and answer any questions that come up! We look forward to hearing from you and appreciate your support of a local art initiative and learning center for the community, thank you.
