Intro to Acting for Adults
An Adult Introductory course to Acting for the stage and screen. For any adult wishing to participate in the local, vibrant, and growing theatre and film industries or wishing to gain a greater understanding and appreciation for the craft of acting.
In this six week course participants will learn Scene Study, Script Analysis, Monologuing, Colding Reading, as well as Meisner and Stanislavski Techniques. This class is taught by accomplished screen and theatre actor Riles Newsome who has performed in more than 25 shows.

Riley Newsome
Riley Newsome is a theatreand film actor. After receiving a BA in Theatre Performance from Huntington University, Riley moved to Fayetteville for an MFA in Acting and has taught Acting 1 and Theatre Appreciation at the University of Arkansas. He also has fight certifications in Unarmed Stage Combat, Small Sword, Basic Whip Skills, and is also a skilled ukulele player and proficient at guitar.
Notes:
- Masks Are Not required while in the building.
- Class requires a minimum of 4 registered participants to run.
