Pottery Wheel 1
Dig deeper into wheel throwing as Instructors guide you towards making pottery that you can use everyday! Building upon basic skills, students continue to explore wheel throwing techniques including taller cylinders, pulling handles, refining rims and trimming. Students are encouraged to explore cup and bowl forms. Students will be introduced to basic glazing techniques. Students who have the basics down will begin to develop their skills towards more refined forms.
Originally from Fayetteville, Sangeet took his first pottery class at a small ceramics studio in Chicago in 2003. From that moment on, he was hooked. Over the next few years, he took numerous classes and workshops around the Midwest, before starting his own studio in Chicago with the help of two fellow potters. Sangeet moved back to Fayetteville in 2019, and has been working to build up a new studio and his first wood fired kiln. He is excited to share his love of clay with his students at the Community Creative Center.
