Description
Watercolor and Nature
Students will work with watercolor and colored pencils throughout this course. We will use found materials from nature to create pieces of art that represent and reflect the natural world. Students will develop their ideas throughout the course. We will make three different drawings throughout this 6-week class, no previous art experience necessary.
Class outline:
Week 1 (09/27): Watercolor stencils
Week 2 (10/4): Start leaf painting/drawing
Week 3 (10/11): Finish leaf painting/drawing
Week 4 (10/18): Begin 3-week long watercolor and colored pencil drawing
Week 5 (10/25): Continue to work on watercolor and colored pencil drawing
Week 6 (11/1): Finish watercolor and colored pencil drawing

Haley Clancy Inyart received her BFA in Drawing at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and is currently Co-Director of The In Art Gallery while pursuing her MFA at the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville. Recent solo exhibitions include: The Governor French Gallery in Belleville, IL, Dimensions Gallery in Bloomington, IN and Wild Arts Collective in New Paltz, NY.
Notes:
- Masks are not required in the building, but available at the front desk.
- Class requires a minimum of 4 registered participants to run.
- A 3% Transaction Fee applies when using cards.
